ERA IS OVER
Today the Roughriders lose recordholding kicker Pauly McCallum to the British Columbian Lions. Thus ending an era. An era where the Roughriders had a chance to win every game and an era where punts and field goals were forgranted.
Regina was too hard on Paul, he's a damn good kicker and I'm sad to see him go. He choked in a few situations, but we can't really place all blame with him since a fieldgoal is never a comfortable way to win a game. I'm sad to lose Paul, I'm sad to lose the opportunity to mock him with my friends in the endzone as we sip beers and make fun of his goatee. I'm sad that we're losing the league's best kicker. Goddamn it, who's going to pluck our banjos?
In other unimportant news, I went to Seattle today, spent six hours at the airport for a half hour flight, got a beer with an old friend from UW, faked my way through a compiler on a whiteboard and had some delicious banana loaf in the hometown of Starbucks coffee. Good times.
