advice:

Measure twice, cut once. I was way too short on the guidelines for printed liner notes. I can always cut more, but I can never cut less. Be liberal and print large.
Backwards Inserts happens if you are not careful about which image is on the left, and which is on the right.
Burning coasters was impossible to avoid. Although my buffer was consistently 100%, I ruined about 30 CDs while making this disc. Next time, burn under Windows or Mac OS X instead of Linux.
CD Text was very hard to get working, and I eventually gave up. Frustrating. Perhaps burning in a Clean Windows Adaptec environment will be best.
Converting WMA to WAV was easily done via Winamp.
Converting MP3 to WAV was broken in Winamp, due to the 7-second fade feature. Very frustrating.
Converting MOV to WAV was too difficult and I gave up. Avoid recording audio in MOV format.
Poisoned is a good MP3-stealing client with no spyware. The file sharing networks all suck, and I couldn't find a worthwhile MP3/FTP search site anywhere.
Announcing Swank Trax is good, but avoid releasing a date. School came, and the record was delayed a long time. How embarassing.
Rock News is still the best place online to find leads on new music.
